A Soldier and His Lady

Dec
22

Photos courtesy Mariah’s mom.

Last night, Mariah had a costume ball for her 18th birthday. (Everyone had to come in some kind of period attire.) Her mother is an excellent seamstress, which is why Mariah always has the most amazing dress at every high school dance, but in this case, her mother really outdid herself with an antebellum hoop dress. She also made Weston’s Civil War soldier outfit.

Morgan went as a lady pirate!

Looks like everybody had fun. And sounds like Suzanne dressed as a party-pooper. ;) I do that every year for Halloween.

Love Weston’s longer hair and mustache-goatee! Is that a semi permanent college look or special for the costume ball? Very nice either way. Also like the Lady Pirate but where is her sabre? Maybe she’s a reformed Lady Pirate.

(What a talented woman Mariah’s mom is with her needle. And she has a beautiful subject to sew for.)
